i never really liked the tips. the stainless ones on ebay are pretty nice and reasonable priced or i could try and fab some up but you have to find a valance. to me thats the most important part. thats what gives it that great look. i feel the valance will sell like crazy once fit and finished is found to be close to the slp piece.

Just to update everyone the mold is almost finished. They are moving pretty quick this time. It should be finished by this Friday and be sent out for the first piece in urethane to come out.

He used to have a manufacturer do them in fiberglass but I guess they were running into a lot of problems with the fitment on fiberglass pieces. So now they only do urethane and carbon fiber. The manufacturers he uses for the different urethane pieces are awesome, since they're always trying to come up with new mixtures of urethane to keep the flexibility of it but also provide the structural integrity to the piece. That way you have more durable urethane.
He told me if they still had someone to make them in fiberglass they would've been at least $50 cheaper, maybe up to $100. I can't wait to see the finished product. I've missed my valance.

Just to update, the mold was sent to the manufacturer earlier this week for the first sample piece. They were expecting the piece back by Wednesday but it should be here any day now. Then test fitting.

Got an update from Eric. The piece is finally ready. The manufacturer ran into some issues with the urethane material that they were using. They're always trying out new stuff to get the best flexibility and durability from the urethane, but they got it right. He'll be picking it up tomorrow and he says it fits perfect but he's going to check it out again tomorrow before he finalizes it.
