Default wtf?!

ok i got my registration renewal in the main and it says i need to take it to a test only. well i got smogged last year march of 2006 after i bought my car.

could this just be a screw up?

its sounds like a screw up!! its supposed to skip a year! go to the dmv or call

yea im gonna show them the test result from last year.

my car is on file with my dad and he has a 2002 silverado 1500 and he didnt smog last year so it may be his turn that they put onto mine.

well, transfering titles requires a smog. maybe last year was not the cars turn but you had to do it to transfer it to your name. and now this year it IS your year to smog

uh oh. Let me know what shop you take it to. So i can take mine to the same place. I bet you still wouldn't have waited to put those LTs on there if you had known.

ok previous owner smogged it in aug 2000 aug 2002 aug 2004 and when i bought it march 2006!

so i dont know what these ************* want from me.

yeah last year was just for transfer of ownership I had to smog mine this year when I bought it november of 2005 and was smogged then too.

but if its biennial and its supposed to be smogged on even years (04 06) wouldnt the change of ownership be counted for it?

thats the thing. if its supposed to be smogged biennaly then 00, 02, 04, 06 (when i bought it it SHOULD count) and 08.

I agree with you.I would call the dmv and try fix it. But I dought they will admit there mistake and you will have to smog it again.
