SHOW & SHINE - For Cancer research... Car Show for Cancer Research in Katie Taylor's memory
August 11th, 2007
Location:
Sounds of Speed Performance
2555 LaFayette Street, Suite 104
Santa Clara, CA. 95050
(408) 987-9553
Time: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
There will be a $20 entry fee.
Judging for the Car show will begin at 1:00 pm so if you want to be apart of the Show & Shine please have your car signed in by 1:00 pm
There will be a B-B-Q, and we are working on Prizes for the top 3 cars, and possible raffles throughout the day.
A portion of the money raised will be donated to Cancer Research in Katies name.
Come out and join in on the fun for part or all of the day...
Look forward to seeing some of you guys out there..

Here is some more news regarding the Show and Shine BBQ get together for Cancer Research.
We are getting fantastic support from a lot of manufacturers and individuals, with sponsorship of the event coming from a number of LS1tech sponsors themselves!

As a side note, just because the concern has come up. While both of our cars will be there at the show, neither car is taking part directly; and neither Melissa (my wife "Mrs. Azrael"), nor I, will be eligible for any of the prizes or parts that are being donated. The contributions will go directly to Cancer Research, or as prizes for participants to promote Cancer Reseach in Katie's name.

Here is the judging checklist..
Exterior:
- smooth clean paint
- little to no swirls
- wet and glossy look
- wheels and tires are clean and dressed
- exhaust tips are clean and polished
- no water spots on paint
- clean engine bay (so pop your hoods up!)
- brake calipers (if painted)
- fender wells nice and black
Interior:
- car is vacuumed
- floor mats are clean and without stains
- dash is clean and dust free
- glass and mirrors cleaned and non-streaked
- leather cleaned/conditioned; cloth seats clean and without stains
- clean steering wheel and shift ****
- clean door panels
- no trash in the car
Each car can recieve up to 5 points on each of the items above.. 1 being the worst and 5 being the best..
There will also be extra points for customization of your car..
When you arrive at Sounds of Speed parking area, please park your car, and come up to the garage door and register your car and get your car's number.
Judging starts at 1:00 so please have your car registered by that time, and from that time, please do not touch your car, and dont bother the judges.. As soon as all the cars are judged.. the judges will tally up the scores.. and announce the winners..

Down to the wire, and the prizes look like they will all be here with a couple extra, because we thought a sponsor had backed out and was not going to get their stuff here on time. God bless them they overnighted it to us and gave us a tracking number, should be here tomorrow afternoon!
With that in mind my wife and I invested some money to make sure we covered our promises for the raffle; but I will leave that up to my wife whether she wants to reveal them as well.
Whew, I will be glad for my dear wife when this finally goes down and she doesn't have this massive anxiety about this being a worthy tribute for a great woman and for a great cause!
