I was thinkin the same thing...I'm up in norcal so no worries here...I was a little curious as to how close the fire is to AFR's facitlity...Maybe Tony will chime in...On the front of yahoo's page it showed Magic Mountain is in jeopardy...A lil crazy...I hope the best for everybody...

**** is getting crazy!
San Marcos was evacuated yesterday. That;s about 5 mi away from where I live.
I work in rancho Santa fe where there is a huge fire down the street from my work place(via de Santa fe/via de la valle). The houses in this area start at 10 million $. There are numerous of celebrities that live there along w/ close friends of mine. My prayers go out to those who have lost there homes. I know a house is material thing and can be replaced, but the memories in those home will never be replaced.

i was gonna say, my prayers go out to everyone who lost a home or is evacuated. make sure your stuff is locked up well, ive heard of some break ins during evacuations. I have some co-workers in San Diego who are hold up in a hotel right now because of evacuations. A few of my accounts for work are in fire zones, but because they are hospitals I still need to take care of them. I already have two calls in Irvine, I hope I dont see any of those "tru flames".

good luck everyone, and just think...this isnt as bad as those damn hurricanes.

That might change soon. They dont have to breath smoke for days afterwards.

I live right next to Luis (01SOMSS!) and we almost go evacuated last night... I have many friends that have been evacuated in Fallbrook and one friend actually lost his house thus far... I am hearing from a couple of friends that the fire is now on Camp Pendleton and they're thinking of evacuating them somewhere... it's getting to point of getting out of hand.... It sucks because we haven't been mobilized to do anything about the fires and all we can do is sit on our hands and wait... Good luck to everyone and just play it smart...

Yes i heard that too. But i think that we are mobilizing VERY WELL. The problem is that we simply dont have the man power to handle THIS MUCH fire.

On a side note, anyone check their air filter/lid?

Mine was filthy. Haven't driven the car in a week, had a pile of sand/dirt/ash in it.

I have family that lives near Magic Mountain, last I heard the fires were getting close to them, but I dont think they've been evacuated yet. Heard the winds were calming down, so that's a sigh of relief. Apperantly investigators are calling it arson.

My shop is right in the same area as Tony's and the fires burned real close to both shops. Tony lives close to his work to so i hope all is well with him.
