LT's and ORY. (period)

If you want the same power as the shorties, get a set of 01-02 mani's.

Yeah I wouldn't bother the hassle for a very minimal gain. If you don't need to smog for awhile or have an extra pair just take a crow bar to your cat internals

I have passed with LTs the last two smog tests that I have had. Both at "Test Only" stations. Some shops either don't pay attention or just flat out don't care as long as you pass the sniffer.

My recommendation if you do make the jump to LTs is that you get the car tuned. With a tune and cats you shouldn't have any issues with the sniffer.

Good luck.

Brian

YES shorties will give you some hp. How much? Not as much as longtubes, but it's still a good mod. I got my hooker shortys off here for only 175 shipped! You can find em cheap if you're patient...

The problem with shorties are they are the same price or more as longtubes and the gains are minimal at best. I have Edelbrock CARB legal shorties, and when i did my whole exhaust, i maybe noticed a 15 hp gain over stock. So if you have the time between smogs, or know a guy that will pass you, and arent afaid of cops, then go with Longtubes and Offroad Y-pipe. Then ofcourse a catback of your choice.

Haddad Motorsports in Inglewood is a good choice.
