make a couple more police report over the next couple of weeks about guys hanging around your car and threatening you. then take those reports and file for a ccw (carry concealed weapon) permit.Thats what I did.

I have the Clifford 50.5x alarm. It claims a mile range but in all reality it only goes about 1/2 a mile because of all the interfearence w/ cell phones and buildings.
And just an FYI... DEI owns a couple of companies... VIPER/Clifford are identical aswell as Python.
The competitor is Compustar. I really love these and they are better than the DEI alarms even w/ the mile range. If you have the cash and want top of the line this is it:

It warns you when someone hits the car, lifts the rear, opens the doors, turns the engine on, breaks a window. As long as you're within range of course. About 1/2 a mile is about the longest distance it has worked for me.
Even if you don't do anything about it, you can properly report to the authorities.
Since we're not supposed to post prices, let's just say I spent a little under $350.00 for an alarm that retails for $450.00 plus installation.
