ol' mighty westerners for your guidance, since w have the best taste, and also posted this in the tire section btw
what tire should i go with that rim 17x11
previous owner had 285s but i really want 305s on there
according to the sticky 305s would be ok
so what size
305/40 <---do they make that
305/35 <---do they make that
can i fit 315w on there with no mods, i will be dropping the car with eibach prokit after
and what is the best track/street tire. i want one that will hold out for a couple track passes and last at least 25k miles

I have ZR1s and the Eibach lowering kit. I have P-Zeros on them. I think the rears are like 285s max and I really don't think I could go any bigger. I can barley fit my fingers in between the top of the tire (to around my knuckles) and the fender..... hope that helps. please don't hesitate to ask any additional questions.
how wide are you zr1 and whats the backspacing

17X11 in the back. backspacing. hmmmmm, good question. let me try and find em. the website i bought them off of had the applications all drawn out. lemme try and find it. edit: ok, i'm seeing +50mm, +56mm after doing some searches.... i'm kinda wondering which ones i actually have on there and if there was another option, if it would have been better... but anyways, do some searching, talk to somebody to make sure and you'll be good to go.

if you check/search around, you'll see i'm not the only one with Eibach spring issues... I'd definately look for a different brand
as far as them being popular and good... I thought that as well when I got mine... and on most cars they are a great spring... just so happens on our particular cars they didn't quite get the design right and it causes sagging... just look at my sig pic... if you look close enough you can totally tell that the back of the car is way too low compared to the front.... looks kinda funny to the trained eye....
other brands to look at are BMR, H&R, etc... now.... if you wanna do top notch, no expense spared, there's always adjustable coil overs at which you can actually adjust the amount of height your car sits at... those are REALLY nice... but about 2-3 times the price...

i have the same wheels on my camaro with goodyear 315 in the rear. i do have some slight rubs right now at stock height on the inner fender wall. i think ill have to do the bfh mod to help it , but i have everything to drop it but strano springs as he is out of them for about a month. i am usning koni 4/4 shocks with all the stuff needed, lca brackets, new phb, lca's and also doing some sub frame connectors. if i need to ill roll the fenders but i think i should be ok.
