Besides, we can't totaly dis-count South Gate Dyno. All good shops out there started the same way. They may be good, they may not.........there's only one way to find out.
True....I am just a CMS fanatic because I know how much effort Ryne puts into my, and all his customer's cars.

I'm still voting Travie 319 for Prez.

Hey, where's your pic/banner so I can make a bumper sticker?

Hey, guys, how's it going? I'm not as sure as you guys might be but RET closed down last year. If you go by there now, it's some jacked up shop with Honda's laying around all the time. If you do down the alley close to hitting Paramount there is a new shop that's getting built or just got built. I know on their banner they advertise a dyno. I go by there most of the time, I can check it out for you guys tomorrow.

Here's an update.

I stopped by South Gate Dyno today and my impression wasn't all too bad. Joe (the owner) seems like a very cool guy and he knows what he is talking about. He showed me around his shop and pulled a few dyno sheets of current vehicles he's tuned. Overall, I'd say SG Dyno is worth a shot.

As far as pricing goes;

3 pulls for $75- to get your current HP.
Tuning starts at $125 for the initial computer access (one time charge), $75 an hour

In regards to groups, he's willing to do $50 per car with a minimum of 5 cars for the 3 pulls.

I don't know I say you go with one of the guys we know Like HADDAD,SPM or CMS they all get good feedback and seem to know their ****. Don't do the same mistake I did I had a guy do it for $375 and the car ran like **** until HADDAD tuned it. but do your homework and ask all the questions u can think of until you find your match.

RET is no mas!!

I drove by a few days ago and it's turned into a regular mechanic shop. No ponies anywhere in sight. But there is another shop opening up soon right down the street from that. It's closer to the Paramount Blvd. side.

He mentioned 2 types of readings, 1 being the wideband, and I can't really remember the name of the 2nd one. It's some type of sniffer that attaches to the tailpipe. The sniffer came into the conversation when I told him that I have no cats, and no bungs for the rear o2's

I'm not sure on the differences between each dyno, but his is on the floor.

I'm in for the dyno pulls also, there's only 1 way to become familiar with SG Dyno.
