Yes, they are both just different ways of calculation, but there are advantages to be had from a SD tune on particular types of setups. Thats something that i would consider "better"
sommer86 - Ryne tunes the car on the dyno and the street, youre right, sometime the car's dont act quite the same on the dyno as they do the street because of the differences in load. Ryne's particular type of dyno really helps to overcome this, but he still takes the car out on the street to verify. Once you get a big cam, or turbo then you will want a speed density tune.
