Cops use all kinds of cars confiscated from drug dealers, etc. That's why you see random crazy stuff like Lamborghinis, etc.

Either way, it probably sends the wrong message. If I were young and impressionable, I'd aspire to be a drug dealer. "I must be rich if I can give away a vette to the police."
