Default colorado emissions

hey guys, i live in denver and i am installing a new exhaust. i was just wondering if anyone has removed the egr and air and still passed?

its been two years, lol but from what i remember they just look under the hood to make sure that you have an engine pretty much rofl...i just want to get race headers but dont want to fail...

Colorado state law prohibits any vehicle being modified beyond factory standards. HOWEVER it is a peddy enforceable law, and not strictly enforced. As long as you pass emissons you should have nothing to worry about.

trust me, i know they can not and do not really inforce that law hehe, i was just wondering if i remove my egr if i would still pass emissions?

i think it will pass with the right tune and cats because in i believe in 2000 gm took the egr and air off the ls1 motors anyways

I have passed twice with no egr or air hookup. FYI i took it to the testing location near the intersections of Peoria and Smith Rd. Let us know how it works out for you

up here in fort collins bowers racing engines is who im going through after i get a exhaust im gonna get tuned through them and ill let you know how they do

its a nice place a lot of younger people up here nice town though i dont know about cruisin and street racing yet but we will see

carefull with the street racing, the cops up there are bored a lot of the time...

Nice get your car on a lift and slide them in from the top it will be smooth like butter how are you doing your exhaust

lol well, i am unfortunate in the way that i dont have a lift, but i am just going to jack it 3' up and use my 6 ton stands.

oh **** yeah i did mean from the bottom i was fortunate enough to be able to get on a lift at a local performance shop otherwise i was gonna do it on stands
