What exhaust setup do you like best the Y pipe on your Camaro or the dual's on your TA? Why?
I bought the same flowmaster y and wanted to do something similar to what you have or just hook it up to my borla, but not sure how it would do with it. The 2nd choice is custom true dual's I was thinking maybe 3" from the headers, x, (not sure if cut outs would be needed here) and bullet mufflers, then dumps or 2.5" pipes all the way back.

I think there might be some magic through that magnaflow that nbm used vs a catback plus some weight savings.

I like them both about the same honestly, I got them for different purposes.

The Y setup on my SS is about the best flowing Y setup, short of maybe going to 4" piping or one of those ARH merges, and it sounds damn good. It's got a really unique tone, great sound.

I got duals on the TA so it wouldnt have a restriction in flow on nitrous, since duals are the biggest overall and for the x pipe effect. The problem with duals is that theyre a real bitch plain and simple. Once they were on, I loved them, and i'll probably never change them now, but it sucked to do. You have to get the BMR or UMI panhard relocation kit first ($300 or so iirc) and it's tough to get them to work if you have a cross member mounted torque arm. I also had to "massage" the body some in the rear to fit the mufflers I wanted in there. It's hard to fit "real" mufflers in dual setups too and retain ground clearance.

The way I see it, duals are twice the effort and cost for marginal gains on cars below 500rwhp. They only make sense for all of the effort on high hp setups. The SS is going to remain NA so the Y was more then enough for it.

Soundwise, I think they both sound awesome. The SS has a real nice tone with no rasp I really like it alot and get alot of compliments on it. The duals on the TA are AMAZING. Even though they're quieter then the SS, they sound the best to me.

You think thats the best exhaust setup period or what? What if I have a 408 on a 300 shot? Or what about if my car has H/C no cats and longtubes and I don't want to lose my hearing?
