Like the titles states, does anyone know of a good engine rebuild shop in or around phoenix az. I didn't get any interest from anyone on selling my car so i have decided to keep it and get the motor rebuilt since im gonna be coming into some money in a month or so. I just want a stock rebuild nothing crazy i just plan on doing bolt ons since its my daily driver. Thanks everyone I hope someone can give me a good place to go and also hoping it wont cost an arm and a leg

thanks man, do they all do engine rebuilds??? i don't have a truck i only have my camaro lol. thanks for the quick response i checked in that sticky before posting the thread but it seemed like mostly all ls1 shops in there, im a lonely lt1 in an ls1 world lol

I'm sure a lot of those shops are familiar with the LT1's as well... I drove down to AZ Automasters and they seemed very knowledgeable and all they seem to handle is LSx/LT1 cars...

Go with AZ Automasters. They may not be the cheapest but they will do it right. Ask for Mike, he is the owner.

has anyone found a good shop that still works on LT1 engines?? Sean at Topgear doesn't work on them anymore.

I used Allie's Automotive in Mesa. I opted not to get my LT1 rebuild, but they installed a new timing chain, water pump, all new seals and gsskets and new motor mounts. I feel the difference when I step on the pedal. Very happy with the results.
