Even though that's the title of his thread, he opened himself up to that feedback when he started talking about investing and what he should do with his windfall.
If the fatty in your example said "hey, I've got $10, I'm gonna buy a cheeseburger (the investment) and what should I buy with the rest (the car)", we definitely would have said 'Hey fatty you shouldnt be eating that".
There goes your point.
That pretty much makes no sense, he simply asked which car he should get, not your financial advice. If he wants to buy a car with his money thats his business not yours or anyone elses, it is his money regardless of how fickle you are with your pennies he wants to buy himself something nice. He was not looking for your advice merely which type of vehicle you prefer.

buy a clean dd and beef up your camaro. take the rest of the money and invest in real estate.

Bro I'd go with a C5 Z06 do a few mods, you'll have a beautiful, dependable, sexy, and fast *** car and if you do it right you can have it for less than $35k. I personally wouldn't spend much more than 30-35k on a car. Don't buy it all cash put like half down then make double payments, help the credit score go up and invest the money from the interest you make, you can make your payment with that, then you're not losing any money. Do it yo! Good luck though.

It would be pimp to own a new c6 z06. Probably would be one of the youngest guys in town to have such a bad *** car, lol. But then again, a c5 z06 can be just as bad *** and for half the price. That z06 thats on here will probably be sold by the time i get the money (if i do get it). I can probably get an 02 z06 for $22K-$25K and drop another $10K and have a very very fast c5 for around $35K. I'm thinking Forged block, heads/cam and boost. But then I'll have the camaro which I already put my blood,sweat and tears into .... and most of my pay checks! I dunno guys. My cousin is telling me to mod my current car and get a new dependable ride, like the G8 or the TrailBlazer SS, something that can hold more people.

I just inherited a1/2 a house and $150,000.00 cashand I shopped for a 05-07 Vette for about 2 months but just decided to put a H/C package,big brake kit and a bunch of mods @ $8,000.00. I get compliments everyday from people andits faster than 85% of cars on the street. The cash goes FAST if you dont pay attention from the very start.
But if you MUST buy a new car its hard to beat a 06 Vette, LeMans Blue, vert, z-51 package with tan interior for 35-38k.
