Should I sell the Camaro for this Vette?!?!
First off, let me say that if it wasnt for my Camaro, i wouldn't be the person I am today (in a sense). I would not know how to do a header swap, or even know what a intake manifold was for. This camaro introduced me into a whole new world that i had no clue was so exciting. I have poured my heart, sweat, blood and of course.... lots of money into my Camaro. So you could say its also sentimental to me as well. But something has come up. A cousin of mine stumbled upon a good deal on a 99 FRC Vette. This car only has 30K miles on it and is stock/pampered. It is a 6 speed and is clean in and out and the guy is only asking $19K. My question is, would any of you sell your camaro or Trans Am and get a Vette if you had the chance and it was a good deal... even if you put alot of time and effort and money into your current ride. Just look at my mods in my Sig and then think about going to a stock Vette, lol. Is it worth it? Would you do it?
Heres a pic of it.

I say get it. I never had a C5, but I used to have a C4 and I can tell you that car was a blast to drive, more fun than my Z28 is. I know for sure the C5 is even better than a C4.

The c6 is holding it's value pretty well. You could always wait for them to come down a bit more or maybe hold out for a 02-04 z06.
Honestly, if it was me, as long as you don't feel like you're gonna lose money on your camaro. I'd say it would be worth it.
I'd hate to sell my car and come at a big loss what not and then get a vette. If you can keep it even and get what you feel the value is on your camaro, thats a nice vette and sounds like a good deal.

Besides the money I put in Mods, I would actually be making money. I only owe so much on the car because I've been making higher payments than needed, if I sold the car I would actually have $7500.00 left over. I could either cut the price of the Vette from $19K down to $11.5K or use that money for MODS!!!! Or a combination of both.

And you dont think the Vette is a good deal? If i wanted to, i could cut the price of the Vette down to 11,500.00 by using the money left over when i sell my car. But then again a side of me tells me to stick with the Camaro since I've had it for years

omg, as cool as that vette is, DONT DO IT! that camaro (from the pics and the sig) is hot as hell! if you get the vette you will only grow to realize that its slow compared to the camaro, and you will end up modding it up any way. so my vote is stickwith the camaro!

I'm gonna agree with the above a bit.. Sounds like you could make it work. I've only driven one c5 and it's quite a bit different experience.
Maybe aim for somthing a bit newer. like an 02+ C5. I know I've seen some low mileage 02's going for maybe a couple thousand more. Wait on a z06 I'd say. Then you'd be probably not feel any buyers remorse.
