CA against doing exhaust work?
i recently went to an exhaust shop to have my y-pipe fitted on. the guy was giving me a hard time at first about doing it, because he said he could get fined for working on a car without cats. i said well my car isn't registered in this state, and i'm just stationed here so what's wrong with it? he ended up doing it after i told him the guy down the road did it on my buddy's z. is it like this everywhere in ca?

Yeah it is , CA just got a new BAR Emission manager and its a woman, this bitch it getting strick on all car for their emissions. Im going to school for my smog license (ill have it by August) and going to work for a smog shop so dont trip, when you have to smog your car dont trip all f-body and y-body owners will pass.

blackhawk,
dotn be so sure about that this biotch is pushing for bikes to get smogged in the near future. albeit change an entire system on a bike is quite abit quicker than our cars.

I'll be in Texas, at latest by mid next year, so no worries for me. Tags on bike don't expire in CA until May 09, tags on Explorer expire Nov 08 but smogged last week. Soon as I get to Texas changing over registration to TX.
