So far, best I've seen is a 13. flat by a magazine tester, but you know, once some experienced drag racers get ahold of one, it'll be in the high 12's stock.

They didn't set out to make a drag car. They set out to make a profitable automobile and it looks like they did that this year, selling out before it was even released.

On a side note, I think our cars are overweight for what you get in return. ****, a compact SUV weighs less than our cars.

Get rid of the tq management BS and it should skate. Camaro will be heavy as well prob like 4000.More safety bullshit adds weight. Sure 4th gen will go down in history for its "a cheap *** can haul *** factor" Everyone and their motherfuckin' mom quotes the 12.97 Evan Smith did. Guess what most everyone else went 13.5. If the new cars run 13.3 with some yank dick from motor trend I'd say their solid.

One magazine chose the Challenger over the GT500, so it must not be too bad.

Another point on the price issue: you can't say a car is overpriced if it sells out. If anything, it's underpriced or priced perfectly for the market. It may not be a good value, but it is definitely not overpriced.

Magazine times are bull ****, all of them. There is nothing stopping them from taking money to add a little bit in a certain cars favor. Only one I still read really is GM high tech. Because at least I know they are only biased towards one company.

I have done some research on the new Challenger. My conclusion is that it is just too heavy for a performance car.

and? I have that mag, and they got a super slow time with the mustang and it still smokes the challenger in every aspect except stopping the challenger stopped 1 foot shorter than the mustang, if this were an R/T that would be good but its the srt8 so in my opion it is less than sub par performance

Like I said, it was chosen over the GT500 regardless of your evaluation (which isn't entirely true if you're referring to the Motor Trend article). And you gotta admit, it's not overpriced if it sells out.

So in your opinion it performed sub-par, yet still beat out the GT500.

Wow, can't wait to see what happens when it reaches it's potential.

I saw one today, it was silver, sitting in a parking lot. I wish I could have raced it but the guy was just sitting in it.

I have to say though they looked alot better in pictures.

I see what you mean, but I guess bottom line is you can get a way faster car for that kinda money. It's not going to be a brand new car but it will be faster, which is what some people (like me) would want
