If people on here can hook 1,000 hp cars on drag radials, I think you should be ok. So your new setup will go 9's for sure.

...They also have full dialed in suspension. I'm going to try for it on close to factory stock suspension not just stock style. See what happens. So if it hooks on the spray then yes it should go 9's. Should and actually doing it are two different things, something you often overlook.

what do you consider "close to factory stock suspension?"

TA only if that. I'd like to try and do it with 100% stock but it already bent a TA once so not sure if that will work.

damn...your gonna want to charge out the hole in a nitrous car...your suspension, rather lack there of, is really going to hurt you through the '330..
motorwise, you'll have the power, but if you cant get that thing to halftrack hard, i dont see it happening..
the factory rubber bushings will bind while restricting movement....you want to be able to transfer as much weight possible as quickly as possible over the rear axle...thats where drag shocks and spherical rod ends shine...factory components tend to yank the front end back down rather quickly, possibly leading to traction then unloading the tires a few feet out...
now what im saying is rather on the extreme side, since it entails practically replacing your entire suspension, but what you gain from it is not just a quicker E.T. , but rather the ability to be much more consistent....and if you race on the street, you need all the consistency you can get.

Yes I understand this I'm not going to try and do it long term. Really once will be fine for me. The car has pulled 1.4 60's and gone straight (on 150 shot) so I don't think its out of the question just difficult. If it seems too shitty after the first couple times though I'm not going to be dumb and try and push it there I'll just start upgrading suspension one thing at a time based on what the car does and go from there.

Yeah. Thats why I said as close to stock as I can. Because it will be whatever the car needs judged by how it is leaving 1 thing at a time.

Whats the purpose of having the powerplant but overlooking the suspension which a important key in having better times. It seems from your statement that you are the one overlooking.

You can't forget the cramp in his left leg, and a pulled hamstring in his right.

I'm not overlooking it, I know it will run there will full dialed in suspension. But that can't happen right away because of other issues. Really it won't be too the track much at all. I just want to go out see what it will run then slowly get the rest of the **** sorted out. Still need a trans and a rear to go with all this. This was never meant to be an all out build, the motor went so I was forced to do minimum the motor, and I didn't want to have to build a motor twice. So I figure get the shortblock how I like it and intake and heads and all that rest can be done as it goes.

Quick Reply: anyone know were i can take my block to get assembeld int a short block
