Default Got pulled over Thursday & Today.

I just got pulled over today for not having my license plate on the front bumper. I also got pulled over Thursday for the same reason, and got a fix a ticket. Anybody with a license plate bracket. If not i might just order one today.

have you tried to zip tie the plate on the grille? that way you can take it right back off? maybe a junkyard has a stock front grille with the bracket on it?

I used a shoestring...no joke. The cop glanced at it from afar and signed off the ticket. I cut the string and put the plate in my trunk right in front of the police station and drove away.

I dont even want to bother with a front license plate. I keep it in the trunk. But I am skeptical about not having one at the same time.

you might as well buy the bracket and keep it in your trunk, thats what i do. i was pulled over once and i showed the officer and told him i was missing a bolt and he let me off.

I was riding without a plate for a few days but every time I would see a cop I thought he was going to pull me over for it ... lol so I bought the slp bracket so I don't have to worry about it any more.

Actually I heard that most cops hate it when people put their plates on the dash.

I've been driving without a front plate for over 3 years, no tickets no pull overs.

I'm assuming it's b/c I'm older and white.

Ive never heard anyone in town get pulled over for that i keep mine on the front windshield so if it happens ill tell them i did not know...

never got any problems... if they do get strict ill get the plate that can be folded down under the bumper

i know people that keep it under there seats so they might have a chance to throw it up on the dash if they suspect anything or see a flashing cop..lol

got mine under the bumper , moved it forward , I installed threaded inserts. I then put a slight bend in the plate. I can see the plate #s if Im standing 7 ft in front of the car.
I was going to put it back farther but I suspect it would be very hard to see and if they cant see it I suspect I would get pulled over here in NY

Doesn't a sponsor sell a pop out front plate bracket? It folds up under the bumper then pops out if needed.

Hmmm... was it CHP? They seem to be pulling people over lately for the stupidest crap... 7 people here at work (including myself) have been pulled over for lame things like this. I got pulled over for my brake lights apparently not being visible yet I was accelerating onto the freeway and never got a chance to brake prior to the CHP pulling me over; but he wrote me a ticket for this saying that he couldn't see my brake lights illuminate. I told him "uhduh I wasn't braking." Anyways... sorry for that short thread hijacking- your bad luck just reminded me of that. Btw... he wrote me no ticket for not having a front plate even though he clearly walked up to the front of my car to look and I also have never had a front plate on the entire 3 years I've owned this car. I also suggest just zip tieing it till you get it written off, then take it back off again.
