Even if you have had it for over a year they should cover it since it is a well known issue (almost like a TSB), and as for customer service I haven't had a problem and I have had to deal with them 3 times. I love the red ring so much I've had it happen 3 times and I don't even use the 360 that often so it really wasn't an inconvenience.

There are a lot of different red rings that it can give. Is it lighting up 3 of the lights or just 2 or 1? On mine I get 2 a lot when I turn it on but all I do is turn it off and back on.

Good point. If you call microsoft you will be asked how many rings are lit up and if you can tell what positions they are in, or at least that is what they asked me.
