I was bored so started a project that hopefully i will finish this week. Spent an hour today starting it have to pick up a few things to finish it and have to do some more elbow greese to get it better. I have to go a diff route with the maf metal is a diff texture and isnt scuffing with the stuff i'm using. If anyone has done this before and has any tips let me know. Doing this all by hand so far

dont mind the dirty engine bay a lot of matrial left over from scrubbing the metal down etc.

I'm using the Meguires Metal Polish and it's working great... what are you using?

Also, on the metals like the MAF... you might want to try sanding it down a bit first, or maybe even getting a dremel ahold to some of it... then applying the polish, it will probably look a bit better that way. You might also want to take it apart before you polish it for ease...

 

and damn... those headers look like complete ***! Pacesetters? Looks like we need to get those suckers coated...

 

i wish i had one of those little toothbrush size dremel things with some very fine sandpaper or something. That would probely make it look 100x better

 

oh... and we need a shot of the whole engine bay after you've finished your polishing

yea i know i'm going to throw some american racings or kooks on but waiting until i take the car back home cause i'll have them do a nice custom set since they arent far away. believe it or not those headers were coated lol

I stand corrected... I just looked at the stuff I use and it is indeed Mothers Mag Polish as well...

the mothors polish works great, but that thing is strong and removes paint almost immediate.
