My TBSS is 2WD. The AWD will hook up better but is a little slower than the 2WD. I put her on Ryne's dyno and she put 323RWHP!! The Tbbs has the
LS2 motor. She put down more RWHP than my Vette did stock!!

I have a AWD TBSS. Here is the break down on my best run bone stock.

rt - .393
60ft - 2.076
1/8 - 8.925 79.986mph
ET - 13.893 98.884mph

Perfect for luanching. No wheel hop or spin what so ever and I can only imagine what it would feel like with a nice stall...

Technically the LS series engines are all aluminum. You can use LS series heads on the LQ9 iron blocks but that doesn't make it an LS series engine.

That 1/8th time is same as my car at RaceLegal. (I have a stock bmw 335)

I test drove a 2wd tbss yesterday and it didn't feel like 323 rwhp or a 9.0 1/8th truck. Maybe because it was so high, or because it was so heavy. Also, I'm not a "big truck guy". Or an AT guy. The truck felt like it would tow with no issues, but it wouldn't be that fun to race at the strip. I'm probably wrong.

actually, to get technical, the only LS blocks that are aluminum are the LS1, LS6, and LS7 (im 60% sure on the ls7), but forthe LS2, LS3, LS8 and LS9 they are iron because it can handle more hp.

the tbss is bad ***. id say get it and enjoy it.

Where are you getting your information from?
I suggest you do a little more research.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but don't the AWD cars get a free pass on smog? I have never seen a 4 wheel dyno at a smog shop.

This would make gettting the AWD TBSS worthwhile if it was true.

I'll tell you in December when I smog my Durango, but I don't think you get a free pass.

I thought they'd just put the front on portable rollers.

Nope, all the LS series bocks are aluminum. People use the LQ9 block quite often to build big nitrous motors or big blower cars because its iron, but all the production car/truck/suv LS blocks are in fact aluminum, every last one.

There are many places with 4 wheel smog dynos. Those that don't have them however will either turn you in the right direction for a AWD smog shop or do a 2 speed idle test, where instead of running a rolling test is just in neutral and they rev it up a bit. So if you have your TBSS tuned so that it has a rev limiter in neutral thats like 1k or something then maybe you could get away with more, not sure on that one though.
