Default who blew an engine yesterday???
on the 55 fwy south of the 91.. smoke everywhere and the guys hood blew open too.. he was cuttin and swerving before so......

How do you know they blew there engine? Oil trail?

uhhh yea duh didn't you know when you blow your motor it explodes into small fragements kinda like a frag grenade, and sometimes it even will kill the driver!

lol i'd be willing to bet someone overheated didnt think and pulled the hood latch when driving

yea most likely sorry my sarcasim is hard to read sometimes but i agree with you. i really don't think any mechanical failure could blow the hood open, i mean maybe if you really blew something up it would blow a hole in the hood but never blow the hood open, its latched down for **** sake!

blow the hood off!? holy hell what size shot were they running? or i guess better yet was it a DD that this happened too?

i just don't see a hood being blown off a daily driven car, that car has gotta be track only set up with a ginormous shot of nitrous and an even bigger bottle in back.

you don't need that much (or any nitrous) for a nitrous backfire to blow the hood open.. you just need that little fuel puddle to spark and turn the intake into a nylon grenade.
