yeah the raiders unproven running game with rookie mcfadden...cmon man, don't be ignorant, we don't know if he is going to be any good.

On the other side of the ball you have a proven back in frank gore who put up 1695 rushing yards in the 06-07 season and last season he put up over 1100+ rushing yards in the leagues worst offense. We are significantly better now so he will put up good numbers. So with that said

doubt they'll be that much better...jamarcus russell is pretty much a rookie and unless mcfadden has a season like AP had last year your raiders will be drafting in the top 5 again. But then again it takes more than 2 seasons to rebuild a team...just ask the niners, bills, vikings, texans, falcons, jets, chiefs and dolphins and i'm pretty sure i left some teams out...

living in LA i come across a lot of raider fans...its funny how they get all excited every year even tho they know they will finish at no more than 4-12...thats been their best record since they reached the superbowl in 2003 hahahahaha

it'll be funny when no raider fan posts in here come friday after the game...they will be nowhere to be found!

If it didnt take an hour to get to D & B and if i wasnt just there last weekend =X... Im watching the UFC fight this weekend anyways.

 

Wow, this is funny, last time they played preseason I said front row in the raiders section and laughed as the niners slaughtered the raiders and heard more raider fans talking smack then us niner fans. They say history has a way of repeating itself I know both teams need a lot of work, but as mentioned, its fun to watch.

 

You raider fans seem to forget that a good offense is only as good as its offensive line....and with 2 first round bust in Gallery and Kwame Harris (ex niner that got cut) as your projected starters, I dont see your offense putting up big numbers this season especially facing defenses like the pass rush happy chargers,broncos with dre bly and champ baily and an improved chiefs D in your division. And your top receiver is Javon Walker who hasn't been healthy for a while. The only upgrade you made on your D is getting DeAngelo Hall who still has questionable character issues, and once again you failed to improve your biggest weakness on D "run defense" by not taking Glenn Dorsey in the draft, remeber you guys face Larry Johnson, LT and the always running happy bronces twice a year and a mediocore Linebacker core on top of that. So its going to be a long season for the raiders and fat boy Jamarcus Russel better bulk up to 300pounds with all the hits hes going to take, hes 280 so hes almost there

We have a good core of young players, I think Alex Smith will edge out Hill only because he has better scrambling ability and has looked way better than Hill in training camp......we have PROVEN running backs in Gore,Foster,Robinson(short yard RB),Moran Norris(blocking full back)

Our receiver core, while not nfl elite has alot of potential in guys like Arnaz Battle who is a reliable 3rd down receiver and who should fit perfect into Mike Martz system, this guy is a ******* offensive genius and should make our offense better, Issac Bruce already knows Mike Martz style and he will be a great mentor for our young up and comers like Hill and Morgan. Ashley Lelie and Bryant Johnson are experienced receivers who will flourish under Martz's system. And we have two great receiving tight ends in Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker and a great blocking TE in Billy Bajema. Our o-line has a great mix of young guys and veterns-Bass,Sims,Jennings,Staley,Heitman,Wallace,Snyder,W ragee,Rachal.

Defensivly we look great with the addition of Kentwan Balmer on the D line, our line backer core is miles ahead of the raiders- Patrick Willis is a future hall of famer,Lawson is healthy, we have great defensive backs in Clements,Harris,Roman,Lewis. So we are ******* ready!!!

i'm still holding my breath on ******* Smith...i hope he's not a bust...he has the potential to be a great QB, he just needs to realize it and be confident and become a leader on that offense...everything else is starting to look good.
