I got the same message today and corresponded back and forth with him. He says he is working out of his own garage and in exchange for twin turbo setup at cost your vehicle becomes an advertisement for the shop he wants to open. Sounds legit but sounds like a scam at the same time. I dunno. I asked a bunch of questions and he answered them. Sounds like he is either someone who is legit and trying to get off the ground or it is a total scam, no in between. He did not ask me for any money up front, yet!!

it depends, I know a couple guys back east that do ground up restos in their garages!! But it still sounds fishy to me the more I think about it.

I knew it was too good to be true from the get go and started asking him question and he just stopped responding after a few of them. I wish someone would steal my car lol i'm upside down on my loan and selling it is not an option with this damn economy! maybe i'll just take it to em and so i can jump on a vette once it disappears

just take it to a bad area in LA that way you dont even have to pay a few hundred to anyone ...dont forget to put all kinds of stickers on the car (Sony, Xplod, DUB) even if you dont have that stuff, its a magnet.

Me: what is your time frame to complete this project? This way i'll know if i'll be able to come up with the money to get it going.

Jonathan: probably right around 2 weeks. i work a normal job 8-5 so it would be worked on in the evening and weekends. i but i think a car is getting dropped off this weekend so in to weeks i would be able to do yours

who of you foos is getting their car stolen...i mean, dropping off their car this weekend?

You can always give him a check with a hold on it and not pay until the car is complete and in your possesion... or save your pennies and buy a legit proven system that wont blow up your car.

You guys have no faith. I dropped my car off last Wednesday, and I should get it back in a couple of days... he said he's just working out a couple of bugs... and since it's taking so long, he's going to throw in some free Nitto's and a twin disc clutch setup.
After I get my car back I'm going to carsponsorships.com
