Yeah they were cool, but someone called in a complaint, so they had to call the owner of the Lowes (who also owns the rest of the land there - including the one McDonalds is sitting on) and whoever picked up the phone said they don't allow car meets or squatters (like the guy in the motor home about 4 parking rows down with his pickup truck parked next to it). They said a security guy would be coming soon, that he was sort of scared because it was apparently so many people there, and that tow trucks would be on their way. An alternative was to go across the street to where the bowling alley was, cause that's Fullerton and the Anaheim cops don't have any jurisdiction there. 
More cars showed up later after everyone left, so if everyone had stayed it would have been decent - but not as big as the last one.
In the end, nothing happened. No security guy, no tow trucks. We left around 10:45...

i dont see a problem with Sonics again.

one place i know that has vw car meets is nicks superburger. last big one i remember there was about 150+- cars. the restaurant parking lot was full and there was a bunch more across the street where there was a Ralphs. here is a map of the place maybe it will have better luck since there tends to be car meets there.

Alright guys, I'm going to take over the reigns of planning this thing. I will post a thread up, but the next meet will be on the 11th of October and I think I'm going to tentatively set the meeting place as Sonics in Fullerton. Afterwards, we're planning a moonlight cruise over at our website. It's almost a full moon on the 11th and assuming we have good weather should be a beautiful night for a run. Details on the moonlight run can be found here. We're still taking votes on the length of the cruise. If you guys have any input please post it up. Again, once we finalize details I'll post a dedicated thread for this in the next day or two. For the record I'm SeanPlunk over at motorgen.com and I drive a White 04 Cobra and have been at most of the last few McDonalds meets. I'll see you guys out there
