Nittos will last longer than BFG's but I've made my last 2 sets last about 14K miles. Of course, i don't drag the car (basically, I don't do burnouts in it), but if you just drive around with them with the occasional 'spirited' run, they'll last. The Nittos last the longest of these tires mentioned here and probably are better in different weather.

Lets us know what you decide to go with!

I have the BFG's and from what little ive used them on the street they have hooked very damn good. however they suck *** in the rain, i seriously had to slow to like 45 mph in the frwy last time we had some showers, and also the wear is crap (wear rating is 0 lol). They do look pretty damn sick from the back with that pattern tho and run wide in a 315 unlike nittos.

I have gotten 18K out of a set of Nittos on my old DD Z-28 A4. And i got a whopping 2800 miles out of my first set Go easy on em' and they will last. But when they loose their sticky, it can literally be from one run to the very next. Sometimes they will be sticky til they are showing cords, very weird tire compound.

I have no experience with the BFG's other than seeing people "try" to launch them on the streets.

Go with nitto!!!! People that are saying they wont hook have probably no experience with them. I have had both BFGs and Nittos, nittos last twice longer! Asfar as traction goes you wont be able to notice a difference between the nittos or bfgs on the street! At a proper psi and warmed up they will both hook without a problem. At your power lever nittos will have no issue dead hooking. Infact you will probably need a new rear end before you need MTs.

Major difference between the two is that BFGs SUCK in rain. If your in a highway while raining dont expect to go over 20mph IF THAT. With the nittos you still have to be carefull but its a night and day differece, they do well.

Like i said you will only notice a hooking difference at the track, and at the point where they start to spin, you willl probably be looking at a new rear end.

Just make sure they are set to proper air pressure and you will love them. And goodluck getting bfgs to last over 5k street and tracking driven DD. Nittos are just better FOR A DAILY DRIVER, if it was more of a track car then BFGs would be fine

ive run 555r's and M/Ts...HANDS DOWN the m/ts are better if hookin and leaving is ur main objective...the 555rs take a pretty mean heat cycle to get them to anywhere near the mt but not bad over all..theres gives and takes...i made my last pair of mts last well over 10k miles and ive gotten well over 15k outta 555s...nevr ran any bfg at all

i believe i once saw like a hemi cuda that was in popular hot rodding or some other magazine's fastest street car challenge running a 2 stage nitrous big block using the bf drags and claimed to be the one of the few in the challenge using that tire and he was passing a 8.xxx in the 1/4 so yeah they do "ok" lol

yea the wear has alot to do with your air pressure. you cannot over inflate a dr. keep them around 25 psi all the time and they will last longer
