I would go the spray paint way but these are $2,000 rims. Im thinking powdercoat or black chrome. Black chrome looks crazy though it'll cost a little more.

spray paint= half *** job
powdercoat= correct, safe, long lasting way

if you paint them you will start to notice the paint chipping in areas after awhile and the wheels look cheap. It should only cost about 400 bucks to get your wheels powdercoated too. idk about you guys but spray cans are not my friend

if you take your time on it why would it be a half *** job?? have you done this before? maybe you don't know how to sand cuz your paint was chipping off i didn't even know there was a incorrect way and correct way to paint wheels lol i could understand if your going to keep your wheels forever and want them to last you a long time, if you take your time on the spray cans they should last you a while

spray paint is not a good choice. rocks fly up and chip away at the paint. I would rather have a harder powdercoat on my wheels to withstand the abuse of DD. Paint is an option and I probably shouldn't have said half *** but it is not the best choice IMHO. I have painted wheels before on my 94 Z28 stockers. Sanded it down cleaned the **** out of them and put a few coats on. I saw it yesterday and it looks like ****. Now my powdercoated rims on my bike still look brand new. Another thing too is cleaning the wheels. Paint does not like a lot of cleaning products while powdercoat pretty much will withstand to anything. My rims on my bike wipe down very easily. We are talking about spray cans right? If you do it professionally with clear coat and all it should hold up ok.

ya noticed he did but most don't. Powder coating is just easier I think too lol. I guess if you are on a budget painting them would be ok as long as you prep and use good paint. There is a store near me "the paint store" off camino capistrano that has really good paint and all the equpiment you need it is for automotive use only.

Nice! How long ago you get them done? I heard PC can lose some luster with time and heat.

wow really low prices for powder coating. well my last wheels were pc green. It was on my bike so don't say **** about the green wheels they look sick. The pc itself was expensive due to being special ordered. black would be cheaper. My guy makes sure they are clean and straight before he does it. Also comes with lifetime warranty on the pc.
