so whats this i hear forced induction people need a fire jacket?

I think if your car has an aftermarket turbo or s/c (wasn't forced induction from the factory) you need a firejacket.


You can get one from Summit for about 40 bucks.

It looks like the rules where changed a while back to require a jacket if you have any aftermarket forced induction or nitrous. That being said, it is probably the most stupid ridiculous rule I have ever heard of. It used to be based soley on ET and or speed.

There are about a gazillion cars at famoso every time I go using forced induction or nitrous and no fire jackets. So I guess it is the drivers call.

i don't know man, its up to you guys, i can buy lunches there or we can take some stuff to eat there.. im taking drinks for sure... are we going to eat breakfast before we hit the track???

Update #12 (11/19/08): Ed Marx from RPS Clutches is planning on giving a 20% off coupon to all paid participants to this event, look for these coupons attached to your tech card at the front gate when you arrive! Yes you definetly want long pants, no matter the speed, shorts and open toe shoes are a no-no.
