I wrote a report on alternative fuels when I was in college...the Tesla Roadster was in it. IIRC, it can accelerate 0-60 in ~4.x seconds and can get 250 miles on a single charge.

As of the last time I checked, those cars now have 1 speed transmissions and although quick are NOT as fast any more. The mileage on a charge is not as great as it used to be with the 2 speed trans, but plenty for the person I know who's getting one. Who knows, maybe they fixed it since then. My mothers cousin was one of the first to order...

P.S.

those Tesla's have been out for a while now..It will only set you back $109,000 and that's the "base" price..nuckin futts..that will take you a lifetime to recoup your gas costs..

**** buy a c6 vette for about 45k which is what they go for now new, and have 55k for gas saved up. Tell me if you ever spend that 55k in your lifetime in gas on that car.... What the hell do I know I've been drinking.
