Hey, this guy Ryan at CMS wanted $450 to install a Torque Converter. That is WAYYYYY too high. Don't sound like a good shop to me.

you are judging my shop after getting a simple converter swap quote. that price does include all fluids as well, and as many people know on this forum and others i stand behind my work. but i am sorry your displeased by my price quote, but dont judge the quality of my work just because your un happy with the price. but all in all this is entirely your opinion.

i am not saying that shops that do it cheaper do a bad job, but for my shop and my economics at my shop i need to charge that amount with my overhead, and like i said i stand behind my work 100%

people just do not want to pay to have **** done to thier car. I would rather pay a little more and go to a shop with a good reputation than to save a little bit of money and go with some fly by night shop. If you can't afford to ge the work done, don't do it. If I could afford it, I would have a 500 RWHP car RIGHT NOW, but I can't so I am piecing it together one step at a time...

Amen to that! Part of the joy of having a muscle car is wrenching on it. There are certain things though that I prefer to pay someone else to do, like welding and tuning.

welding I don't have a problem with but I am with you on tuning lol never been one for tuning. Just sucks cause I do not have access to a lift anymore so pulling a tranny on my driveway is unsafe and a PITA.

to each their own....to me it doesnt take away **** or make the car any better being able to say "i did it myself" vs "i had it done professionally"

i DO know my car tho..whats in it and what its built with...its been my pics based off reasearch and what works for my applications...

It's funny when your young and have a lot of spare time you find yourself doing your own work but when you get older and start taking on more responsibility you have less time to do it yourself and have the pros do it for you
