Default Will the 'security light' make you fail smog?

The visual inspection will they not pass it because of the security light stays on?

Just got back from smog and i passed. Basicly i have stock except for lid and exhuast so wasn't too worried.

Funny thing, i had to take it to a 'test only station' and i passed smog easily but for "inspection reason" it says 'High Emmitter Profile'?

How can this be if i have never failed smog?

Mine was 10 cents . Opened the steering column and completely disconnected the passkey wires from the ignition and put a resistor on the wire so the security light would go off. I'll fix it right if I ever sell it.

Why not bypass the security altogether? Isn't that what most people do -tricking the computer? Im planning on doing this just haven't got to it yet.
