Are you talking about a 10 bolt or 12 bolt? Not that that part really matters. Main differences are in the brake geometry meaning the rotors, backing plates & calipers. So if you are putting an LS1 setup rear end in your LT1, you could use the LS1 style brakes and do a complete swap. Or you change out your backing plates and use your original LT1 brakes and rotors.

I belive so as long as the LS1 didnt have ASR.

Its not completely the same. I put an LS rearend on mine cuz it had 342's, I had previously 273's. The e brake cable is different. The brake lines were not the same length or fittings. And the ABS was 2 wire (LT) instead of 4 wire (LS) with a different connector head also.

If you put in some time and alittle money, than you can convert, but it isn't just a simple swap.

dont forget, the torque arm bolt mounting locations differ between the 93-97 and the 98-02 differential housings.
