I did the stop and go for a while, it sucked yes, but the other 90% of the time I drove my car, I would hate to have an auto. For the price of a swap, you might be able to pick up a beater for your daily commute.

i'll do the swap with you.. i've got an auto that is in great shape... and i want an M6.. i'm nearby too. what color interior? i've got gray and ebony center consoles available.

sounds like i'm doing a swap lol i didn't think many people would be interested... but i guess m6 is the win if your car is a weekend car... and yes i could prolly get a commuter car but why? lol i rather do the swap especially if it's just a fair trade both parties will be happy and no MONEY required lol except for gas money for people that would like to shoot the **** and help out lol

good stuff so we'll have your expertise there cus i was just gonna wing it lol i haven't ever done major surgery with the tranny before and i'm sure we can work something out to have you wherever we work on it. will keep you informed ss.slp have you done a4 to m6 or m6 to a4? either way i'm sure as long as we kinda know how it goes we might get it done in a day lol

I've done a A4-M6, which is the simpler of the two, cause you don't need to swap the wire harness.

make sure you have EVERYTHING for the swap, you do not want your car apart waiting on parts, my car took 1 month for the swap cuz I was waiting on parts

I was talking about swapping both wire harness, trannys, cutting the holes for the shifter and master cylinder, etc. Basically the swap for both car (A4-M6 & M6-A4). If you could do all that in 8 hours with one knowledgeable helper, than my hat is off to you.

it's all about the hole saw, air tools, (impact, die grinder), lots of extensions, and two good jacks
