Default m6 to a4 conversion

Just wondering what will be required for a conversion to a 4l60e? looked up using the search, but couldn't really find much info on it. Also if anyone is interested in doing a swap for a t-56 pm me. i have an opportunity to do a swap, and would like to do a one for one no built stuff as my t56 is stock.

As far as I know...tranny, TC, flexplate, auto shifter, pedals, A4 center console, and I think you need a A4 wire harness as well.

Yeah I think you would need to change your tune, it would be a good idea anyway to set your shift points, idle, etc. There is a guy in the western classifieds that wants to buy a M6 conversion kit, you should PM him.

I have everything you need for the swap(and I mean everything) cuz I did a t56 swap on my car the only thing I think you'll need is a dip stick tube, I'll let you have it all for 500 bucks

That's a very good deal. The A4-M6 should be the easier swap of the two types. I'm assuming you kept the same A4 wire harness with your M6 swap, so he would still need a A4 harness correct? Regardless, its still a good deal.

O yeah I wasent thinking about that, dude under my car there is a small bundel of wires, the one that plugs up to the stock 4l60e just hangin I used like two of those, yeah you'll probably need a wiring harness and that doesnt sound like fun to change.

If you get all of the parts, I can help you do the swap. Tuning it will be on you though.

lol hey i'd be willing to get towed to get a hand lol... sorry about the misinformation i am 45 min north of bakersfield... lets turn this into pros and cons of a4 and m6

i'll start off no sixth gear for those long hauls to save on gas
i realize the "fun" factor will be gone but all my driving consist of stop and go and putting it in D will be a little funner

anyone else please chime in if you've heard how m6 to a4 conversion go

GOOD BAD OR NEVER RUN right again lol

The reason why I love m6 is the challenge of becoming a better driver and it just plain old fun driving a stick shift. With auto you get consistency and a built auto will always be faster than a stick. Its all preferance I guess!

Both of my cars are sticks for a reason. I never learned how to drive an auto.
