Default Whats the widest tire I can put on a 18x9.5 wheel ??

I have 18x9.5 wheels on the rear of my 1999 SS. Right now i have 275/40-18 tires on the wheels. Is that the widest I can go ??? Because im looking to put sum drag radials on my SS. I'd prefer to get some Nitto drag radials

u can do 305 or maybe 315 i run a 275 on a 8 inch rim so u can pretty much go up a few sizes but dont try to slide or drift cuz u might break the bead.

nittos run small.

on a 17x9.5 you can fit a 315 nitto. i did it for years. it's actually around a 285. its fits good though.
