Need a lot more info. What does it need? Has it been stored a long time or left outside for years? How many owners? Is it stock or has a kid owned it the past few years and dogged it? The questions are endless for a car that could be considered a real find or a basket case.
If the car was a true 'find' with one or two owners, good verified maintenance records, documented miles, no rust, needing nothing but tires and minor maintenance I could see paying $7,000 - $8,000 for such a rare find, basically a #2 or #2- car. However, the price goes down real quick if it needs a paint job, there are mechanical issues, etc.. right down to the point where it is not worth even $1,000. Which is it?

Sure looks nice but still too many important questions unanswered to accurately give a proper price especially ownership and records (documentation). Accidents? If the answers are unknown and the car drives out fine with no obvious red flags, then you can't go wrong in the $2,500 $3,000 range. Even if you had to put $2,000 into it over the first year I would imagine you would have a pretty nice ride for the $5,000 or so invested. Lack of history on any car really deflates the re-sale value because it becomes a crapshoot for the buyer. Why pay the big $$ when so many questions? If just looking for a 'fun' car then what is 'fun' worth to you? That is why I mentioned the above numbers. No one would slit their wrists if they laid out $2,000 - $3,000 and the car did not work out as planned.
