Private party value: 2000 SS M6 30k modded
Any idea what would be a good selling price for this car?
2000 SS M6 30k original miles, no accidents, excellent condition in and out
Silver with black leather, t tops, garage kept
Mods:
Moser 12 bolt
VRX5 cam
FAST 92/102 combo
Dual gold rockers
Longtubes + spintech catback
M/T 275s out back, 275 conti's up front on stock SS wheels
Nitrous Outlet hard line kit, bottle mounted in trunk, switches hidden in ash tray
Spec clutch
Strano springs, Eibach SLP shocks
Welded subframes, UMI LCAs and Panhard bar
New stereo w Ipod hookup
Raptor light hidden in AC vent
Car runs/drives 100%...made about 400rwhp on motor, 500+ on spray
Thoughts?

www.kbb.com 'private party' value (you decide on condition) plus 25 -33 % of the mods original cost. That's the figure you start with.

They are pretty close on your typical 'average' car. They lose objectivity on ultra low mileage cars and don't even have them configured properly in their database. You will find prices that are too low on these examples. Same can be said for lower mileage 'stock' non-abused 6 speeds. Tough to find these and sometimes they go for more than what KBB states. The old 'supply and demand'.
As far as $11,000 on the car you are talking about, it sounds about right. Limited market for a modded car like that despite the low miles. Once you add the mods on top of that it will be a fairly hefty price, one that will appeal to very few. Overpaying for a heavily modded car is a big mistake. Any owner will get killed at selling time more times than not. If you want some entertainment, try reading the endless posts about owners getting very little back on their heavily modded cars. It is an eye-opener.
