Qouted from his for sale ad, car is 2001 & black. What is a good price? He's asking 16k and the car is super clean, he has documentation of the accident, car had front cover, hood and 2 passenger wheels replaced. Car hopped a curb because owner is an idiot.

Re-built title cars are tough to buy because you just never know how well the repairs were done. Was something 'masked' during repairs or any shortcuts taken? Cars with non-clear titles sell for much less. Salvage titles can sell for 50% less. Many buyers won't touch them and that is something to remember for yourself when the time comes. The seller is in that boat right now. It sounds like he has discounted the car a bit, but not much. Even though those miles are nice and low, for some reason I doubt they are 'easy' miles. I would be hesitant at his $16,000. Perhaps something in the low teens if you really wanted to give it a try with $13,000 - $14,000 being absolute tops. You could always sell it for $10,000 if things didn't work out so a few grand would not be the end of the world. Risky, but up to you. Good luck!

Definitely not worth 16k. If it was totaled, it did a lot more damage than the seller is letting on. Possibly tweaked the frame, broken suspension, fiberglass damage, trans, etc. and who knows IF they fixed everything, or how well they fixed it.
