Default 99-02 Trans Am, what would I be spending?

I am on the search for a 99-02 trans am, not a ws6, just a standard formula with a ls1 and 4l60e transmission. Not looking for a mint condition car, paint can be faded, needs some interior work, but nothing to serious. What is a good price I am looking at? I want a car I can cruise around in until I get a built 408 to swap out.

I found a 00 for 5k that only had 86k miles on it, really wish I had the cash now for it but unfortunately I don't

Hell if i was in TX id be buying that one for 5k right now. Im looking for the same thing actually, alot of ppl want upwards of 6500 for even a bone stock auto car with 120k or more... If you could find a clean bone stock one with under 100k id say 5500 is a good buying price. If you dont have that kind of coin look into ones that are 120k-140k that arent in perfect condition and consider paying 4-4500
