FYI, the number of '99 Formula WS6 M6s built in Arctic White (10U) is 11.

So yeah, pretty rare.

If the cracks in the hood are near where the struts attach, this is not uncommon, and very noticable w/ white paint.

Okay fellas, I met the husband today. I went over what I found in my research with him. He told me they paid $10,300 for it in April 2010. He said they have put a battery in it and I believe one head light motor. He told me that they wanted $9000 for the car (the ad stated "$9500/OBO"). He said they didn't notice the cracks on the hood until I pointed them out to the wife. Therefore they bought the car that way. He even stated "maybe we jumped into it too fast...I don't know." I told him I was going to offer $8000 cash (not "waiting to hear from the bank" like another interested party told him). He politely declined stating that he wouldn't take less than $9000 for the car. It is SUPER clean with 57K on the clock and thinking that $8500-$8800 might be have been a more realistic number, should I give him a day or two and offer $8800 as a FINAL offer??? I can live with the hood issue and the surging is likely from ancient gas in the tank. If the A/C has just "leaked off" (yea I know it's a "sealed" system) after 13 years and simply needs recharging, it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. Then again, I could sink major cash into getting the A/C up and running.

Thanks guys.....

I dont think that the A/c will be such a big deal to get going again...
Personally I never use mine anyways...

I would bet that he will take $8,800 if you have the cash in hand, which is still a pretty good deal if you ask me!

Good luck.

Welp, the husband just left a message on my phone. He discussed it with his wife and said he'd be willing to go $8500 but that's it. Dang...I guess the promise of 80some Benjamin Franklins and no waiting for a bank to "approve" me was stronger than his initial desire to hold on to it waiting for $9K!!!

Can't you get a professional opinion on the a/c?? That really is the major concern keeping you from this car right now. What if it is just $500 or so for minor work?? If it is minor, then jump on this car at $8,500 if it is that clean like you say. Those 57k miles are appealling and the gas situation will not be that expensive to remedy even if the tank has to be drained. Good luck!
