He said he'd let her go for 7500. Which seems like a pretty good deal to me. The transmission really doesn't scare me, I have experience rebuilding them. Just wondering what you guys think about it? Also transmission wise what kind of rebuild kit should I look at? I'd like to upgrade it internally, nothing heavy, forks, synchros, etc, if anyone knows of a good place to get a kit let me know. Also I'll be replacing the clutch as well so any advice there would help.
Also! How do I tell if it's a true SS, not that I'm doubting the guy, but better safe then sorry, right? Let me know what you guys think

a real SS has WU8 code on the door, this rebuild kit looks good: http://www.thegearbox.org/catalog/it...17/7824166.htm
and i had a diamond stage 2 in my car which was incredibly easy to drive, also had a monster stage 3 which was a bit aggressive for daily usage eventhough i did it. Both will hold very well
I gave him 4k down (I should be able to bring it home in the next month or two). Maybe I made a mistake, maybe I didn't, but the car was deffinetly well cared for and ran like a dream. Fired right up, oil pressure was good, coolant temp was good, all fluids smelled/looked as they should. Brand new Nitto NT555's all around.
And yes that is a true SS car. I took a picture of the door sticker. Thanks for the info. Attached are some pictures
