Future Re Sale Value

Plus resell is depended upon who's buying. I would NEVER buy a modified car unless it was cheap. That's just me as I feel it's a sign of potential abuse, added to a car that's old and will have odds and ends needing to be addressed sooner or later. On the other hand I've seen people willing to pay more for modified, sometimes highly, cars because they "understand" what the mods are worth.
I guess what I'm getting at is do what you want with it, it's not worth as much as you think. Worry about resell later if you decide to move on. Sure keep your OEM parts if you want, and think you'll keep the car for 30+ years where it might matter.
Let's say you drive 10,000 miles per year over the next 4 years. You will have a 70,000 miles car that is now 16 years old in 2016. The car would be worth about $8,000 perhaps ( a guesstimate using today's values)) if kept decent and 'stock'. Modding it will reduce the value to a certain point depending what you do to it. If it has that 'abused' feel let's say it is worth $5,000 - $6,000 instead of $8,000. Is that $2,000 - $3,000 really worth the difference after 4 years of driving? That's up to you and each owner of these cars. The value is all downhill if you keep driving it. That's the bottom line. Also, you do NOT re-coup your mod $$, not at all anymore. Once you sink $3,000 or $5,000 into it, kiss that $$$ goodbye.
If you bought this car to put away for the next 15-20 years then that would be a different story. Of course the car will be worth more money. How much? No one knows but even then it isn't a 'special edition' of any kind and there will still be other F-bodies out there with even less miles.
you are at 30k miles , its rare being that newest ls1 is 11 years old but nothing special (sorry).

Unfortunately a lot of theses cars are butchered and I didn't want to take on someone else's problem. And the older they get, the fewer pure stock cars are out there on the market. I noticed that the prices for stockers have leveled off and I think this due to dwindling supply of stock cars. Having said all that, I wouldn't buy for resale - buy because you like the car and do what you want.
