whats a 99 ss worth?

Found a guy in town got a 99 has clean title m6 . Pewter in color stock ls1 with 183,XXX t-top leather seats little tear on driver side seat. Clear wanting start coming off on bumper and hood. Which I would want to make a automatic. 6.0 swap etc etc. Guy said he is asking 6k but would take 5k and said that be about all he would take. I know he has had it sitting there for a while now. I thought about getting 4k out an going back an see if he would take. What you guys think? Thanks.

Wow, my '99 is looking better and better every day...

If this thing sells for more than $4500 I'd be stunned.

What I was think 4 k would be about it. I thought about low balling the **** out of him but thought if take 4k it be a decent deal. Everyone around here acts like there car with any miles is worth a gold mine. Really want a black one but can't find any an when I do they want 1 million dollars lol.probably wait week or two then go offer him money in hand

Lol everyone near me and a 1hour drive away thinks these things will bring a freaking retirement fund. I called one guy same color car with 200k and a4 trans. Been hit in front had it fixed salvage title. Wanted 4800 obo said o someone with cash in had I'd make them a hell of a deal ( Whitwell Georgia) I said I ll bring u 3k and he goes did you say 3k I said ya he said dude I'm done talking to you 4200 would be it and hung up on me lol.I think that car is worth 2-2500 at the most for me that is

Mine is a 99% stock pewter M6 Z28 with 96K on it. I figured I'd be lucky to see $5000-5500 for mine. Doesn't matter though, since mine is not for sale.
