2002 SS 67k miles.....dreaded "R" title
I am curious to see what everyone thinks my car is worth and what the R title really does to the price. Its a 2002 SS M6 with 67K miles.
Exterior is in good condition, there are some gaps in the front pannels but no noticable scratches or dents. Interior (tan leather) is in excellent condition, no cracks in any of the plastic, no tears in any of the seats. I dont even think anyone ever sat in the back seat.
Only aftermarkey parts are
-pacesetter longtubes with ORY, Borla adjustable exhaust
- Monster clutch stage 2 (1K miles on it)
- c5 dished replica rims
The car was hit in the front end in 2005 and professionaly rebuilt.
I am considering trading, but am having problems putting a realistic monetary value on it with the R title.

50-60% of the normal selling price is what I have seen in the past
No matter how shiny and pretty the car is, that "R" ruins its value for life!

FWIW, I bought an '02 TA Firehawk with 47k miles, black on black 6 spd, was in a front end wreck but was fixed and had been back on the road for a few years. It was mechanically solid and interior was very clean, but had a Superhawk hood instead of an original OEM and front bumper had a bad paint job. Paid $6500 for it. I'd have a hard time paying any more than that for that SS.

Take the average price of both NADA and KBB in your zip code and subtract 50%. You can always ask a little more than that to allow for negotiations.
Example: NADA says a particular car is worth $10,000 and KBB says that same car is worth $12,000. Average is $11,000 so your car should be $5,500 or close to that figure. You can ask $6,500 and see what happens. You never know. GLWS!!
