03 Sierra 2500HD
03 Sierra 2500HD My dad is looking to sell his truck so I'm looking into a true fair market value
it is a 03 Sierra 2500HD Duramax Diesel 1 owner thruck (he bought it brand new, even flew up to north carolina because a dealer up there gave a better deal on it). Mileage shows on cluster just shy of 239k, actual mileage is estimated at 300k (this is due to the gauge cluster stopped working (common issue on these trucks) and it was a 2-3 years before he got it fixed.
The Good:
It has a brand new (updated design) transfer case that is literally less then a month old and a brand new battery installed YESTERDAY.
Also has new fog lights.
The Bad:
has leaking injectors (a $3,000 dollar repair unless you can do it yourself then it's about $1300 in parts)
cloth seats have tears in them and driver seat is missing a chunk of foam where you get in and out.
likely needs new shocks due to the mileage and the steering feels loose to me.
also needs new washer fluid pump installed (pump comes with truck) and wire harness pigtail for passenger fog light installed (again included)
Overall it's a fairly clean truck with the usual little dings, personally I think with disclosure of the issues it's worth 8,000-9,000 but I don't know if thats on the high side for this condition or the low side considering a small local dealer just paid $10,900 for a similar condition GAS version of one of these.
