Default Opinion on price?? 1998 Z28

I am looking to get an LS1- this is for sale here locally. Car is a Z28 SS kinda clone...76k miles M6. Repainted with aftermarket hood, Borla exhaust, C5 18in corvette wheels. in the repaint the RPO sticker was removed which has me a little leary..he was at 9,500 then dropped to 8,000. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

I think the price is a little on the high side, I'm thinking it would be a gold deal around 7k.

But some people pay a premium for these cars, it depends on the market in your area too.

In terms of option verification, lack of an SPID sticker is mostly a non-issue on these newer cars, as you can get a full printout of all the original RPOs for a given VIN from GM's VIS system.

Anyway, if you already know that it's not an original SS, then other RPOs aren't really going to affect the value regardless.

As far as specific price goes, I have no objective opinion. The body kit and hood are sort of love-it-or-hate-it pieces, so the value could range wildly. I wouldn't even have an offer in mind because the appearance is absolutely not my style at all.

OK thank for the info....thought it was a little high seeing what some actual SS cars were selling for. Probably a better idea to spend a few extra $ and hold.out for an SS barring some.drastic price drop...thanks
