99 NBM WS6 6spd Vert
So I bought another car and got some info back from ASC and was just kind of curious on what the car is actually worth.
I bought a 99 WS6 6spd Vert with 118k on it. Turns out after some digging around it is either 1 of 12 or 1 of 13 (Production breakdown says 13 and ASC says 12). ASC also told me it was the first of those 12/13 cars produced. It has been a CA car all it's life and looks fantastic. Figured someone would have somewhat of an idea

I see very little to no premium for it being a 1 of 13 NBM vert. Other than white, black, and red in 1999, ALL the other colors are quite a bit scarcer. NBM is ranked #4. The most desirable WS6 for that year is the most common color (ie anniv car in white).
NBM gets quite a bit more common with each additional year from '98 to '02. You might be able to convince someone that an NBM '98 M6 vert (6 built) is worth a premium in low mileage condition....though probably not with 118K miles. Regardless of all that, most buyers prefer the much more "common" '01 and '02 due to the improvements installed over those years. Last of breed and more HP is still trumping lower production numbers and "first of breed." It may not always be like that though. 10-20 years down the road I think the rarer '98 verts and maybe even the '99-'00 will be fetching similar money or more to the '01-'02....assuming low mileage orig cars.
I'd say a 118K mile '99 WS6 vert is worth $1.5K to $2.5K less than a comparable condition 2002. The price guides should be in the ball park for cars with this many miles. I'd say it's in the $8K to $10K range. There's a decent selection of these priced at $10K or under. Linked below is a '99 NBM Firehawk M6 vert (1 of 6) with a dealer asking price of $13K....and 67K miles. I'd value this car at a min of $4K-$5K more than the 118K WS6 vert....80% of that difference due to the mileage (+$1K for FH). There may be a few "freak" 118K mile M6 verts out there that are 1 owner, impeccably clean and maintained with mostly highway miles. Still, >90% of buyers just look at the miles rather than the actual wear and tear on drive train, suspension, etc.
