2003 z06?
Came across a 03 Z06, yellow/black with 85k on it. It looks like the exterior is in pretty good shape, let's call it an 8.5/10. Interior is good, some seat wear, but no tears and bolster is above average, I'd say. Only mod is corsa exhaust.
It's priced at $21.2k, but I think he's got some flexibility.
Clean/clear title, no accidents, clean carfax.

When I was looking last year you could find one of the first couple of years of the Z06 (395/405 hp) for lower $20's with 25K-35K miles. I wouldn't want to spend $21K for a car with 85K on it, regardless of how clean it was. How about $17K to $18K? For $21K I'd sort of expect a car with 55K or less miles, and preferably under 45K miles. Some good prices on autotrader such as a dealer owned 18K mile Millen. yellow 2002 for $23K. I'd stick with lower mile versions rather than ones close to 100K if only for the resale in the event you get tired of it.

Even the 01s that I have seen local are selling for high teens, even low 20s with low miles.

If that's the case then spend the extra $3K and get a car with 25K-40K miles....a good deal for that very reasonable premium. For up to 90K miles the price range should be $16K-$19K. So that seller is at the very top of the range. There are a number of them priced in the $16K, $17K, and $18K range so I think those at $19K+ with >80K miles are gonna sit. There are dealers selling comparable cars for <$19K.

If you really wanted the car I'd go over there with 17 in cash and see what happens. cash makes a lot of peoples phone bottom dollar go way lower. just be careful carrying that much money around.

That is exaclty what I had in mind. Only caveat is that he is about 3.5 hours each way. By the pics, I really don't think I'd have any issues w/ the car, so I may just have to suck it up. Maybe I'll wait a few weeks, then roll down there.
