1997 WS6 T/A Vert
A friend at a dealer in PA may have a black 1997 WS6 Trans Am convertible M6 traded in soon. The car has been garage kept since new and has 6800 miles. Black top and black leather interior. Car was traded in by a woman whose husband bought it new. She had the title changed over to just her name when he passed away. So while it will show as two owners it realistically is a one owner.
Thanks to Dave I know about the fluids, tires, etc factor. The car is allegedly in top condition with no paint work as I would expect it to pretty much be. My friend called me and asked what I thought it would be worth. I took a swing and said 12-14K, maybe less......or maybe more if the right person got wind of it.
So what do you guys think?

An LS1 1998/1999 WS6 vert with 6800 miles would probably run you $17K to $18K. So $12K-$14K for a 1997 LT1 version sounds like a good deal to me. $12K sounds like a steal. $14K-$15K quite fair. Right color. Right options. It's a 1 owner car regardless of the recent circumstances. A car that could easily get bid up higher if others get wind of it. It's scarcer than the LS1 verts. with only 135 M6's built in 1997. A fairly exclusive car. I didn't realize they only came in 4 colors (dark green, black, white, red). Only 11 cars in the dark green. Figure you'll spend $1K to $2K on maintenance items (tires, AC, fluids, etc.). I had 2 LT-1 cars (M6 and A4) and loved them both. Both performed flawlessly for the time that I owned them. The M6 I drove from 22K to 55K miles before selling it. That M6 was slick and in my mind shifted better and more accurately than the M6 in my current '99 SS.

Thank you Matt! $12k-$14k is right on the money for me as well. I would pay in that price range but probably not more. If I absolutely loved it and it was exactly what I was looking for, perhaps $15k, but that's it.
That certainly will be a sweet car for someone.
